Dorothy Cathryn Buhtz, was born April 27, 1908; Seattle, Washington; the 2nd of 3 chidren to Will and Ruth (Northup) Buhtz . On March 6, 1931, she married Norbit Olean Megorden (b. in Leroy, Minnesota; December 11, 1904, d. January 20, 1969).

The Norbit Megorden family lived at Clearwater, Washington. Norbit worked one summer on Higley Peak Lookout as Fire Warden, and was Fire Warden at Clearwater over lookout stations during World War II. He had a small machine repair shop of his own.; worked briefly at Keyport during World War II. After Norbit's death, Dorothy moved from Clearwater to Grand Mound, near Centralia to a mobile home park for several years when in her late sixties. Then, to 14725 N.E. 31st Street, #3-D; Bellevue, Washington, in January 1979.
